Ethan Hui

Electrical Head

Ethan Hui is a senior at 'Iolani School in Honolulu, Hawai'i. His passion for STEM and programming and concern for his island's water quality drew him to MOMI. Ethan is the project leader and programmer of the team and is working to create sensors that will help analyze the conditions the oysters endure while in the Ala Wai Canal. He hopes the MOMI project will help address the pollution issues of the Ala Wai Canal and set an example as a natural way to clean bodies of water.

Outside of MOMI, he continues to focus his efforts on robotics. He is a part of the 'Iolani Robotics team and aims to improve his electrical engineering and computer science skills. Ethan is grateful for being a part of MOMI and is sure that his experience being a part of the MOMI project will prepare him for working on similar projects in the future.

Ethan will be attending UCLA in the fall.
